Evacuation is a television series broadcast on CBBC in the UK.

It is a reality show for children, in which 6 boys and 6 girls from cities, all aged 12, are taken back to Wartime Britain, by being evacuated to a 1940s style farm, where their lives are changed dramatically. For two weeks, they live just as evacuees in World War II would have lived, except, of course, they are not allowed to be deliberately physically hurt by the adults whose care they are in.

The children who were 'evacuated' to the countryside were:

  • Luke Barton
  • Felix Chancellor-Burton
  • Harry Cracknell
  • Richard Hall - Evacuee
  • Charlie McCutcheon
  • Josh Opoku
  • Laura Adegoke
  • Nathalie Hancock
  • Tia Hatton
  • Joanna Lau
  • Chelsea Thompson
  • Natalie Travis (however, returned home after feeling very homesick)

The adults, who are actually actors, are namingly

  • Mr and Mrs Rivett (a.k.a. Uncle Brian and Auntie Sue), who own the farm;
  • their fearsome school teacher Miss Young;
  • the local ARP Warden;
  • farmhand Mr Patrick; Miss Victoria, a member of the Women's Land Army; and Matthew the ploughman.
  • Home Guardsman Pvt Pickard

The show is presented by former Blue Peter presenter Matt Baker, who occasionally steps in to help the children when no other adults are there.
