Eva Wei (Molly) is a fictional character in Ōban Star-Racers. She is voiced by Gabrielle Jeru in the French version and Chiara Zanni in the English version.

An ambitious 15 year-old Earth girl who often subverts her school studies to improve her mechanical skills. Upon escaping from her harsh boarding school, she travels to find her father, Don Wei, and subsequently lands a job as a mechanic for his company. Lacking in self-confidence and intimidated by his harsh demeanor, Eva is unable to tell Don Wei who she really is, and assumes the name "Molly" after reading it on a poster. Eva soon becomes the lead pilot for the Earth Team after their star, Rick Thunderbolt, is injured during the first race. Her life soon becomes more complicated when she learns that the reward for winning Ōban is any wish her heart desires, including bringing her dead mother back to life. Her mother was seriously injured and died when Molly (Eva) was 5.

Eva grew up with a star-racing family: Maya, the famous pilot, and the racing manager Don. They were a nice, happy family and everything was great. But one day, when Maya was racing, she crashed, leading to her tragic death. Then Don abandoned Molly (Eva) at a boarding school, but Molly (Eva) escaped.

She is a tomboy, a short temper but in the bottom she has a heart of gold.

Don Wei
Don Wei, Eva's father, abandoned her when she was 5 and sent her to a boarding school. He figures out who Molly really is during the Oban Cycle.
At the start Eva visits Don, after her birthday, at his racing factory. He doesn't recognize her at all- and even mistakes her for a boy at first.
Don Wei was always pushing Eva too hard on the races during the Alwas cycle. Eva sometimes considered him a "jerk" because he was so mean.
In the Oban Cycle, Don Wei realizes that "Molly" is his daughter "Eva" whom he hasn't seen in 10 years. He talks to her about it and explains why he abandoned her, due to the loss of her mother. But Even Before Don Wei knew that Eva was his daughter, he still cared for her.
Maya Wei
Maya Wei was Eva's mother who got killed in a racing accident against Spirit when Eva was five.
Eva's main purpose for racing is to get her mother back- and reunite her family. Maya was also a racer just like her, and Eva has gotten some of her instincts for racing. Don Wei was surprised that she says several phrases of Maya's:
Eva said this to Jordan, as Maya did to Don Wei: "Penny for your thoughts?"
Eva said this famous quote as quoted by her mother: "As long as we can fly we still have a chance; I refuse to believe it's the end of the world."
Eva also performed the same exact trick in "Nervous like Ning and Skun" as her mother did, which shocked Don Wei.
Jordan Wilde
Eva, over a while, has gotten Jordan's trust and loyalty. Jordan wasn't very nice to Eva at all in the beginning - like Don Wei, he wasn't very excited that a female was on their team, referring to Eva as "an unpleasant surprise" , Don Wei quoted.
Jordan also gets into frequent arguments with Prince Aikka, Eva's close friend whom she has a crush on. Jordan was over-protective and maybe a bit jealous when she was around him. Jordan could also be a complete nutcase.
In the Oban cycle, things start to heat up a bit between him and Eva. Jordan develops a serious love for Eva, trying to talk to her often about it, though Eva gets distracted. Jordan and her are also best friends by now, though Jordan feels more love for her than anything. In "Revelations", he had a hallucination that Eva loved him back- and he saved Eva's life and got a blush in return. In the last episode Jordan becomes the new avatar, and kisses Eva when saying goodbye to her.
Jordan and Eva are also the most important characters in the show, with Aikka 3rd.
Prince Aikka
Prince Aikka is Eva's crush- probably love at first sight. It has been suggested that he feels an affection for her as well.
Prince Aikka has been forced by the Crogs to betray her many times, though - he shot their Star Racer and made them almost lose a competition.
Eva and Prince Aikka have moments together as well. They are close friends, though the Earth Team (especially Jordan) does not like the friendship.
Rick Thunderbolt
Rick Thunderbolt is like Eva's older brother- he returned back to Earth when the Earth team was going to Oban.
Rick Thunderbolt was nicest to Eva when she was found with them traveling to Alwas. He affecionatley calls her "Little Mouse" and is often trying to figure out about Eva's past.
He gets hurt very badly in a race and is told he can never race again- therefore Eva takes his place. Because Eva had a few struggles in some races, Rick became Eva's coach. He trained her very well and she beat the other races on Alwas very soon.
