Eva Kjer Hansen

Eva Kjer Hansen (born August 26, 1964) has been the Danish Social Minister and Minister for Women's Rights since 2 August 2004, as member of the Cabinet of Anders Fogh Rasmussen I and II. She is a member of the Liberal Party, and has been a member of parliament (Folketinget) since the 1990 Danish parliamentary elections.

Eva Kjer Hansen stated in an interview to the danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten, in September 2005, that increased economic inequality amongst the Danish people in her eyes was not necessarily problematic.
This view was widely denounced by most of the political parties including her own party Venstre and its leader Anders Fogh Rasmussen.
