Eurosong 2007

Eurosong 2007 will be the Czech national final on March 10, 2007 to select the Czech participant for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki, Finland on May 10-12, 2007. The year 2007 will mark the first time the Czech Republic is entering the Eurovision Song Contest, and the first ever selection for the Czech national final will be held in Prague with 10 songs participating. Some of the songs will be chosen through the public call for songs, and others (up to 7) will be invited directly by ČT, to ensure famous Czech acts in the competition.

The invited acts will be invited based on chart performance in the Czech charts during the last few months of 2006. [1]

It is believed that popular singer Kryštof and famous rock band Support Lesbiens got the first invitations. Another rumoured artist is Aneta Langerova, winner of Česko hledá SuperStar.
