European walking route E8

The European walking route E8 is a 4700km (2920 miles) long route stretching across Europe, from Cork in Ireland to Istanbul in Turkey. It crosses England as part of the Trans Pennine Trail.
After England, it passes through the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Slovakia and Poland. It crosses Bulgaria before reaching Turkey. Some of the eastern sections of the route are yet to be finalised.
The route is aimed at walkers, horse riders and cyclists.
