The European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) is an independent post in the European Union that ensures that data privicy laws, in regards to citizens' personal information, are not violated by EU institutions. The current supervisor is Peter Hustinx and the assistant supervisior is Joaquín Bayo Delgado.
