The European Chemicals Agency will be an agency of the European Union which manages the technical, scientific and administrative aspects of the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) system. It will be sited in Helsinki.

The Agency will be headed by an Executive Director and will have a secretariat which is planned to grow gradually from around one hundred people in 2007 up to around four hundred in 2010.
