Eurhinodelphis ('well-nosed dolphin') is an extinct genus of cetacean.
The 2 m (6 ft 8 in) long creature, related to modern porpoises, probably hunted using echolocation. Eurhinodelphis's upper jaw was elongated into a sharp tip highly similar to that of the swordfish, sailfish, marlin and the ichthyosaur Eurhinosaurus. Most likely, Eurhinodelphis used it like these creatures- to hit or stab prey. It also had long, sharp teeth.
