Nope, I haven't seen the movie or read the book, but I have played the music back in 7th grade (in Youth Orchestra). :) QuizQuick 17:21, 7 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Summer & Duke

  • I’m not sure whether I’ll go to pre-orientation. Are you doing any of the projects Duke is sponsoring (ie. Project WILD, BUILD, etc.)?
  • Have you decided which classes you’ll take yet? I’m not sure whether I want to include biology as one of my four courses, as I’ll have math and organic chem. already, and three math/science classes seem a little much (or at least that's what most people on The D think).
  • I’m still deciding between getting a single or a double, though I probably will give up the AC.
  • It’s awesome that you got a video iPod! The laptop that I got for my birthday was my graduation present too, so I’m bringing that to Duke. It’s great because it’s really light, which will make carrying between classes fairly easy.

Oh wow, I found this again. :) Funny how only two of the RDers posted their results. --QuizQuick 23:35, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Summer and Duke III

  • Yep, you can only take four classes. Technically you can take 4.5 credits, but the 0.5 credit comes from PE, a music class, or a dance class. I think you can take 5.5 credits second semester of freshman year though. I'll probably take 4+ semesters in my sophomore or junior year so that I don't get too bogged down, and the classes I want to take this fall seem hard enough.
  • Have you picked out writing 20 class you'll take yet? Or are you taking a seminar first semester?
  • I'm not too surprised there's a grad student with my same exact name; it would interesting if we somehow bumped into each other on campus. And it would be funny if you enrolled into that chemistry teacher's class. :) Does she just teacher undergraduate chemistry, or a grad course?

[edit] Summer and Duke V

  • It's awesome you have Friday off- every week will be like a three-day weekend though you'll have more studying, I suppose.
  • I'm probably going to trade in most, if not all, of my breakfasts for lunches during the school year since I never eat breakfast anyway, and it's a lot less hectic with meals later in the day. The breakfasts interfere with my math and writing 20 classes, and I suppose they've got better food for lunch anyway (I'm not really a donuts and bagels person). :)
  • My registration window opens on 7/12, so I'll probably enroll as soon as I get up since a couple of my classes don't have too many slots left.
  • Equitation sounds promising. :P I heard Club Racquetball was really fun, so I might do that for my PE class.
  • Have fun vacationing in China (and meeting Katherine)! What's the first city on your itinerary?
