Eupatorium megalophyllum (Lem.) N.E. Br. |
Eupatorium megalophyllum is an evergreen, erect shrub with reddish-purple branches clothed in slightly rough, dark green leaves with prominent venation and paler undersides.
Large clusters of lilac flowers appear in spring. The plant is frost tender under 5 degrees Celsius.[1]
Plants grow to 1.5 metres high to 1.2 metres wide.
The very large leaves are up to 10 inches (25 cm) longs and 8 inches (20 cm) wide. The plants are native to Mexico and require full sun to part shade and moist, but well drained soils. Propagation is via seed and cuttings.[2]
