Eunus

Eunus (d. 132 BC) was a Syrian slave in Sicily who led the First Servile War. He was reported to be a wizard[citation needed].

Eunus led an army of 70,000 fellow slaves[1] and seized a large part of the island for three years[2].

He was put down by Scipio Aemilianus[citation needed].
