Please don't ever do this again without some firm evidence. Aside from breaking WP:AGF, it's a childish ad hominem. My arguments for merging the Friedman Unit article were well thought-out and clearly stated.
Further to that, you're flat-out wrong. I'm an avowed Atriot. I've been accused from the "other side" of editing things in a partisan manner on Juan Cole and Glenn Greenwald, under much the same conditions (hot-headed editors who assume that any dissent implies sneaky partisanship). I simply believe that Wikipedia should be a valuable, neutral resource for future generations and not a soap-box for random Internet denizens to spread their political memes.
That said, I'm not pursuing the merge any more. I have better things to do with my time than fight running battles with people over words on a website, especially when said people are accusing me of being pro-war (urgh) at the same time.
