Nijkerk (52°13′N, 5°29′E) is a town in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of Nijkerk, and lies about 9 km northeast of Amersfoort.

In 2001, the town of Nijkerk had 22265 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 6.8 km2, and contained 8328 residences.[1] The statistical area "Nijkerk", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 23720.[2]
