The town centre (dark green) and the statistical district (light green) of Buren in the municipality of Buren.

Buren (51°55′N, 5°20′E) is a town in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of Buren, and lies about 7 km west of Tiel.

In 2001, the town of Buren had 2267 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.59 km2, and contained 891 residences.[1] The statistical area "Buren", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 2510.[2]
