Aalsmeer (52°16′N 4°46′E) is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Aalsmeer, and lies about 8 km southeast of Hoofddorp.

In 2001, the town of Aalsmeer had 11306 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 4.7 km2, and contained 4817 residences.[1] The statistical area "Aalsmeer", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 16220.[2]
