Cuneo is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 80 km south of Turin. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 54,914 and an area of 119.9 km2.[1]
The municipality of Cuneo contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) San Rocco Castagnaretta, Madonna dell'Olmo, Madonna delle Grazie, Passatore, San Benigno, San Pietro del Gallo, Cerialdo, and Borgo San Giuseppe.
Cuneo borders the following municipalities: Boves, Cervasca, Vignolo, Beinette, Peveragno, Castelletto Stura, Caraglio, Tarantasca.
