Etomite is an adaptable Web Content Management System plus a robust Content Management Framework. Written in PHP and using a MySQL database back end, it provides an intuitive "manager" in an effort to make creating web projects faster and easier for end users. Its flexible API aims to provide developers a straightforward way to change the core functionality or behavior of the application without having to resort to hacking the core code itself. It therefore allows for customizations as well as a more straightforward, simple future upgrade path.
Some of Etomite's main features are as follows:
- Caching of individual pages
- HTML-Export (for the production of a static version of the Website)
- Integrated visitor statistics
- WYSIWYG - for modification of contents (alternatively)
- Complex user, groups and right management
- Simple visual adjustment by template-based design
