Etk stands for "Enlightenment ToolKit". It is a widget toolkit based on the Enlightenment Foundation Libraries.

It uses Evas as its canvas library, Edje as its theme engine, and Ecore to abstract calls to the display frontend (X11, Linux FB, etc.)
