ETF Securities Ltd. specialize in exchange-traded funds tracking commodities, such as petroleum and gold.

In 2003 ETF Securities Ltd. launched the world's first exchange-traded commodity (ETC) and gold exchange-traded fund, Gold Bullion Securities in Australia. Gold Bullion Securities is two-thirds owned by the World Gold Council. In 2005, ETF Securities listed ETFS Brent Oil, the world's first oil ETC. In September 2006, ETF Securities launched an entire series of ETCs.

The ETCs offered by ETF Securities include:
- ETFS Gold (LSE: BULL) tracking the DJ-AIG Gold Sub-Index. Unlike Gold Bullion Securities (ASX: GOLD), ETFS Gold is not backed by physical gold bullion.
- Brent Oil Securities (LSE: OILB and Euronext: OILB) tracking Brent Crude.
- WTI Oil Securities (LSE: OILW and Euronext: OILW) tracking West Texas Intermediate.
- ETFS Silver (LSE: SLVR) tracking the DJ-AIG Silver Sub-Index. Unlike the iShares Silver Trust (NYSE: SLV), ETFS Silver is not backed by physical silver bullion.
