This user page is sort of finished, but still may have bowling shoe tendencies. Anyone who is expecting a page which tells you about my travel schedule, my political affliations or how my uncle played crotchet* semi-professionally in 1989 will be disappointed.
* My uncles have never played crotchet. Infact, they probably think crotchet is the name of some obscure 1930s porn star from Venezuela.

Hey there :p I'm Esteffect, an administrator on Wikipedia, an operator in #wikipedia, and a user since February 18, 2005. I've been an admin since July 2005, and I've made just over 4,000^[1] edits since joining. I was born in Newcastle, England, and I'm still living in the nearby area today (although I'm still pretty young, so I can get away with it). Away from Wikipedia, I'm still studying and spend my spare time involved with music, radio and other areas of the "entertainment industry".

Unlike a lot of people who edit Wikipedia, I wouldn't really call myself much of an addict, and I've stopped editing as much as I used to recently. I'm only semi-interested in the political side of things, and even though I do some "vandal fighting" on occasion^[2], I don't really commit to it and I wouldn't spend all day blocking people like some users seem to do. Instead, I'd call myself a casual editor - I'm committed to the project, but I'm not committed to the point that I find it hard to "walk away" from the Wiki and do other things.

On Wikipedia I mostly edit articles about "popular music" artists, and on other music-related topics. Aside from that, I edit on several different topics, including football, Formula One and GP2 Series. I had one featured article, Vanilla Ninja, which is an Estonian girl band. I pretty much wrote the article on my own, and it was on the main page on July 1, 2005. Unfortunately referencing and fair use conventions that have been added since led me to nominate it for removal, and then abandon the article. See this page for an incomplete list of articles I have worked on since joining.

Anyway, like the top of the page said, this user page is under construction ;) If I haven't already made you want to sandpaper your face, you can ask any further questions on my talk page. For now, though, I'm going to stop writing this because it's starting to get very bowling shoe.. :p

I have abandoned Vanilla Ninja, and don't update it anymore. It's unfortunate as it was the best source in the world for information on them, but there you go. I also haven't been watching many of my other articles lately.
