It is strange (and wrong) to say that "Estonian SSR" was an independent state; moreover, this is not consistent with the main "History of Estonia" article. The "Supreme Soviet" had passed a declaration, but this meant no real independence (only perhaps a little less dependence on the central Soviet government). Also, "short-lived country" sounds a bit odd.
