I have performed an extensive re-write of this biography. Some of it was difficult or even impossible for me to understand due to the translation, and therefore information may have been lost (it still ought to be in the Catalan original though). Overall I have tried to phrase it in more natural English, remove some of the translation errors (e.g. "real" for "royal", "on 1911" instead of "in 1911") and use the en.wikipedia style for biographies (so the first paragraph should serve as a brief introduction and summary in plain English rather than a long list of achievements and honours split by semicolons). I have also removed the section headings. While this biography probably (though not certainly) needs them, they really need to be accompanied by a reordering of material. The previous section splitting was illogical, with the section heading referring only to first sentence of the next paragraph before the subject changed again. I recommend that anybody planning further work on this article does one of the following: either (1) put it in chronological order after the introduction - at the moment it seems to jump around a lot or (2) arrange it by theme e.g. have a section on his early life; then one on his research; one on his teaching; one on his administrative work; one on his industrial career; one on his awards. That would make it easier to break down into logical sections.

At the moment it falls somewhere between (1) and (2) and is therefore quite messy. It is also very hard for an international reader to understand the importance or function of some of the institutions listed, especially since almost none of them have .en articles. Is the Academy/Institute/etc etc merely a "nominal one" membership of which is granted as an award; does it pursue research; is it a teaching organisation; or is it an administrative body? A (very brief) introduction to these bodies would be welcomed when they are mentioned. At the moment the article still reads very much like a "checklist" of achievements or as a C.V. rather than as a biography. However, hopefully it will improve a lot over the next few weeks! :) VivaEmilyDavies 23:54, 12 Apr 2005 (UTC)
