Talk:Established wolfdog breeds

If we're going to call these breeds established wolfdog breeds, then we better have citations, preferably scholarly ones. I clicked over to the German Shepherd Dog page, searched for "wolf," and did not get a single hit. Keesiewonder 02:27, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

I think this article should be deleted as it's rather pointless. There are not many official wolfdog hybrids out there and of the few listed most can't be confirmed. Most people seem to list dogs for their appearance and not their bloodline, which is rather ridiculous anyway as all dogs have originated from wolves (though I must say I don't agree with that theory) and how recent wolf blood had to be introduced to be listed here is not clear. There's really no use for this article. We already have a wolfdog article and should elaborate more on the "official" wolf breeds there if needed. I think the creator of this article was trying to make a list of dogs that "look" like wolves, but are clearly not. Vortex 00:12, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
