Esther Lai

Esther Lai is the principal of Meridian Junior College (MJC). Since the college started operations in 2003, she has led the college to become one of the more popular ones in Singapore.

Lai was the former principal of Tanjong Katong Secondary School (TK) which she led to become one of the country's top 20 secondary schools. Under her tenure, TK achieved the Singapore Quality Class status, Autonomous status, School Distinction Award, Best Practice Awards, Sustained Achievement Awards and to the current Band 3 in the school banding system. Upon her commencement at Meridian Junior College, several staffs from TK crossed over to the college.

Prior to her service at TK, Lai was the Vice-Principal of Serangoon Junior College (SRJC).
