Estación Central, Chile

Estación Central (Spanish for "central station") is a municipality and comune (comuna) of Chile located in the province of Santiago, in the Santiago Metropolitan Region. It has an area of 14.1 km², a population of 130,394 (2002 census) and an average household income of $19,011 in PPP US dollars (2000). Its name comes from the Estación Central railway station for all southbound traffic located in the community.
