Esrom Nyandoro
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Esrom Nyandoro (born 6 February 1980 in Bulawayo) is a Zimbabwean football midfielder.
Nyandoro was signed by South African club Mamelodi Sundowns from Zimbabwe's AmaZulu, playing two seasons before being offered a trial with Sheffield United in England. In South Africa he was named Premier Soccer League's rookie of the year for 2004/05 and the Sundowns' footballer of the year for 2005/06 after helping them to the championship title. He trained with the Blades during the 2006 pre-season training after being recommended to the club by their former player Peter Ndlovu, but failed to sufficiently impress and returned to South Africa at the end of the Summer.
He was a member of the Zimbabwean 2004 African Nations Cup team, who finished bottom of their group in the first round of competition, thus failing to secure qualification for the quarter-finals. He also participated at the 2006 African Nations Cup, with the same outcome.
