IMDb profile

Eskimo Nell, a.k.a. The Ballad of Eskimo Nell, is a 1975 UK film directed by Martin Campbell. Though inspired by The Ballad of Eskimo Nell, the movie is not at all like the original bawdy song.

A typical 1970's British 'sex' film, Eskimo Nell is the story of a film inspired by a ballad. A writer, a producer and a director are hired by erotic film producer Benny U. Murdoch (Roy Kinnear) to make a film about 'Eskimo Nell'. However, they run into difficulty when each of the film's backers wants a completely different style of film made. Things are made even more difficult when Murdoch makes off with the money for making the film, and the three have to produce three different films.
