Escape from Hell is a 2001 film.

[edit] Synopsis

The film is about a man, Dr. Eric Robinson, who puts himself in cardiac arrest in order to scientifically study near-death experiences. Dr. Robinson has never believed the Bible or his Christian mother, and science is his god. His colleague, Marissa Collingway, is on a mission to alleviate the fear of death by proving that heaven awaits everyone. However, when Dr. Robinson goes through to the other side of life, he first encounters heaven, which is portrayed as a sunny green country. But then he encounters hell, a place of unspeakable pain and torment (which is depicted as a lake of fire, as described in the Bible). There he finds a man he once knew who was kind and good and went to church. Eric is shocked as to why such a good man would go to hell. Now, he is forced to make a choice. Should he accept this experience and accept Jesus as his Savior, or should he refuse and end up like his friend?
