Raven has a vision that she'll get a necklace for Christmas but wants to open her present early so she decides to skip going out caroling with her parents and Cory and opens her present. She decides to secretly wear it to school before Christmas vacation starts and when she lets Chelsea and Eddie get a hold of it, they accidentally throw it out the window and get it ruined by a lawnmower. Raven and her friends decide to skip school to get a new replica of the necklace at the mall before Christmas, without being caught. They almost succeed until they decide to take a picture with mall Santa find out that their teacher Mr. Petracelli (who was absent at school and got a substitute) was the Santa Claus. Mr. Petracelli chases them and they successfully escape but later on Raven has a vision that Mr. Petracelli finds the photo of them skipping school and posing with Santa. Raven and her friends decide to go along with Raven's family for a holiday trip at the mall. They decide to come up with a plan to get the photo before Rae's Mom and Dad or Mr. Petracelli gets it so Raven decides to dress up as the mall Santa to get it back. Raven almost succeeds until Mr. Petracelli catches her. Raven decides to fess up to him but it turns out he's not really Mr. Petracelli (and most likely could possibly be Santa Claus). Raven starts breaking down and saying she ruined her christmas with her family because of her selfishness so Santa gives her one wish and that is to go back before she opened her present when she wasn't suppose to. Raven decides to instead go caroling with her family.

- When Raven, Chelsea and Eddie were at the mall, Raven said to go back to school after getting the necklace. Instead, they go home.

Chelsea: Yeah, WE are not cutting class.

- This episode was shot in late 2002 and premiered on Disney Channel UK in December 2002, a year before it first aired in the US. This may do with the fact that That's So Raven premiered on Disney Channel in January 2003, a month after Christmas.
- Second appereance of Mr. Petracelli.
- This episode is very similar to It's a Wonderful Life.
- At the end of this episode, Raven sings "Silent Night" and wears the necklace her parents gave to her.
- Notice at the scene where Raven and Eddie are trying to get the necklace off of Chelsea, all of the windows are closed but only one is open.
- When Raven, Eddie, and Chelsea are pretending to be carolers, you discover that have really good singing talents.
- This is the first and last Christmas episode to date.
