Ersa is a commune of the Haute-Corse département in France, on the island of Corsica.

Ersa is the northernmost commune of Corsica. It extends itself to Centuri to the West, and to Rogliano to the East. A part of its territory, which comprehends ? of the Giraglia, is a protegee by a site Nature 2000. Ersa is essentially covered with shrubs and arid summits. The coast, which is carved to the West by the Cape Grossu(Cape Grosso) and the Punta of Corno of Becco, alternate of beautiful beaches of sand and pebbles of small ? . The commune is watered by the sreams Acqua Tignose and Granaghjulu and its undulating slopes of the Mount Maghjore (364 m).

The ancient Latin name of Ersa is Arsia. The human occupancy of the place climbed to an anterior epoch to the Roman conquest of after this that testifies the pre Roman ? of Vitalleghju. From 1248 to 1592, Ersa handled incorruptible to ? of the Da Mare of San Colombano di Rogliano and the commune handled devastation by a Turkish occupation of 1555 to 1571. To be part of 1592, the republic of Genes annexes eersa, which rallied itself to Pascal Paoli in 1757. Tilll at the XVII century, the end of Cape Corse is the target of frequent incursions of barbaric pirates. When the Corse turn French , at the end of the XVII century, they comprises 1130 habitants to Ersa, which cultivates 200 ? of wines. The agricultural and demographic regression has ? since the viticulture surface at/to the first ? only, for 135 inhabitants.

The hamlets of the commune of Ersa regroup themselves in ? at centre, between the two summits. They are served by the departmental route D80 whih makes the tour of Cape corse thus that some ways common.
- 'Rota'
- 'Boticella' - this dominant village is grouped of the chapel Saint Jean-Baptiste;
- 'Cucincu' - in the small hamlet discovers itself the chapel Saint-Peters
- 'Granaghjulu' - the mansions are perched and the lanes compact - the church Saint Andrew and its steeple are historic monuments.
- 'Guadellu'- the vast church Saint Andrew, today ruined, is the intermediate of the chapel of confraternity Santa-Croce.
- 'Gualdu' - this hamlet in the middle of Piazza raises itself to a square tower and the chapel Sainte- Anne
- 'Piazza': Chief town-- an ancient convent of Capucins dating to XVIIe century and sheltering the town hall, the school and the room of functions - the ancient church of the convent , Santa-Maria-Assunta, is today a parish - with the likewise chapel Saint-Antonie
- 'Poghju'- one discovers here a round tower, hence the chapels Saint-Joseph and Saint-Roch
- 'Suertu'- this village abandon to the ? San Nicolau is always dominated by the ruined chapel of the same name.
The ancient small port of Barcaghju, situated at the background of the bay, to the mouth of river Acqua Tignose, offers a panorama o the island of Giraglia. It occupies the location of a pre-Roman large village .One finds here the chapel Saint Peter and to the deviation (2 km to the south) the wrecked chapel Saint- Lucie Its grand beach of fine sand presents a spectacular sand-dune, the one of the most Hautes of Corse. At the proximity, on the commune of Rogliano, finds itself the Génoise tower of Agnello, framing on the foreland of Cape Agnello The second sea-front, Tollare, at the mouth of the River Granaghjulu, extends its ancient mansions around of its chapel Saint-Anne and of its round Genoise tower framing in ?
The ? of Cape Corse haad been constructed on the Cape Grosso, hence that a military on the Mount Torrivella, at the south. At the 'Bocca di Serra', on the route leading to Centuri, rise by itself three mills : two among which have been in ruin and the third, ? Moulin Mattei, is restored
