Ernest Wesley Young (born July 8, 1969 in Chicago, Illinois) was a center fielder for the Oakland Athletics (1994-97), Kansas City Royals (1998), Arizona Diamondbacks (1999), Detroit Tigers (2003) and Cleveland Indians (2004).

In 8 seasons he played in 288 Games, had 796 At Bats, 108 Runs, 179 Hits, 33 Doubles, 4 Triples, 27 Home Runs, 90 RBI, 10 Stolen Bases, 90 Walks, .225 Batting Average, .310 On-base percentage, .378 Slugging Percentage, 301 Total Bases, 5 Sacrifice Hits, 6 Sacrifice Flies and 1 Intentional Walk. He won an Olympic gold medal for the United States in the 2000 Sydney Olympics. On June 12, 2006, he hit his 300th career minor league home run.
