Ernesto Antonio Farías (born May 29, 1980 in Trenque Lauquen, Buenos Aires) is an Argentine football striker, currently playing for Club Atletico River Plate with jersey No. 9.

Farías started playing professionally at Estudiantes de La Plata in 1998, with whom he became the Argentine league's top scorer of the 2003 Apertura Championship. He scored 96 goals in Estudiantes before 2004 when he moved to Italian Città di Palermo. After playing in the bench for while he returned to Argentine River Plate in 2005. He made his debut with the Argentinian national team on September 3rd of 2005, when Argentina lost 1-0 against Paraguay.

Ernesto Farías's main characteristic is his sense of location and his scoring ability, sometimes compared with that of Gerd Müller. His nickname is Tecla ("the key") because in his early adolescence, his uneven teeth looked like a piano keyboard to his mates in Estudiantes.
