Ernest Vaughan, 4th Earl of Lisburne

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ernest Augustus Vaughan, 4th Earl of Lisburne (30 October 18008 November 1873), known as Viscount Vaughan from 1820 to 1831, was a British peer and Member of Parliament.

Lisburne was the son of John Vaughan, 3rd Earl of Lisburne, and Lucy Courtenay. He succeeded his father in the earldom in 1831 but as this was an Irish peerage it did not entitle him to a seat in the House of Lords. He was instead elected to the House of Commons for Cardiganshire in 1854, a seat he held until 1859.

Lord Lisburne died in November 1873, aged 73, and was succeeded in his titles by his son Ernest.
