This photo is a press release photo, with the expressed purpose for the illustration of the individual. (Cardsplayer4life 02:06, 28 January 2007 (UTC))

But it would be easy to get a photo of her in some other way that wasn't fair use, therefore it doesn't comply with our fair use policy.-Localzuk(talk) 02:24, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
There is a specific case for promotional photos in the wikipedia fair use article so, I have to disagree with your assessment. I can change the tag for the photo, if that is required, but the photo is clearly a press release/promotional photo. (Cardsplayer4life 08:07, 28 January 2007 (UTC))
There is a specific tag but we still remove them if they are fait use and it would be reasonably easy to get a new, non fair use, image of the person. If you look at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Fair use#Publicity photos the first line of the section is Fair use on Wikipedia only applies if it is not possible to replace such publicity image with a free image, and also Wikipedia:Image_use_policy states As a general rule of thumb, Wikipedia allows low-resolution images of copyrighted material if they are unlikely to affect the potential market for the material, are used for the purposes of analysis or criticism, and for which there is no alternative, non- or free-copyrighted replacement available. - so a journalist should be quite easily replaceable with a free alternative. Also, if you look at the Template:Promophoto, which is the correct tag for this image, the last couple of lines states Please note that our policy usually considers fair use images of living people that merely show what they look like to be replaceable by free-licensed images and unsuitable for the project. If this is not the case for this image, a rationale should be provided proving that the image provides information beyond simple identification or showing that this image is difficult to replace by a free-licensed equivalent. Well thats my argument anyway, I'm going to leave it at that and let the deleting/non-deleting admin make the call.-Localzuk(talk) 12:06, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] db-talk

How does this talk page possibly violate G8, when the photo still exists? I see that this editor has been tagging numerous images with this speedy tag, and while many are appropriately tagged, apparently there are some which still contain a valid image. No explanation was given as to why this action was taken. -- Huntster T@C 05:56, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
