Erik Lee Preminger

Erik Lee Preminger (born on December 11, 1944 in New York City) is a Jewish American writer and actor.

His birth name was Eric (or Erik) Lee Kirkland, as his true paternity was not known to him until he was an adult, so he was named by his mother Gypsy Rose Lee and her then-husband, Alexander Kirkland. His father turned out to be film director Otto Preminger.

He has also been known as Erik Kirkland, Erik de Diego, Erik Lee, and Eric Preminger.

He is the only nephew of June Havoc, Gypsy Rose Lee's younger sister.

He wrote an autobiography about his relationship with his mother: Gypsy & Me: At Home and on the Road with Gypsy Rose Lee (ISBN 0-89621-634-9) which was later re-issued as My G-String Mother: At Home and Backstage With Gypsy Rose Lee (ISBN 1-58394-096-0).

As of 2005, Preminger was living in Orinda, California.
