[edit] Career

Erick E started his career as a hip-hop DJ, in the Prinsenhof in Zaandam. He turned out to be a talented scratcher/backspinner, winning the Dutch DMC Championship in 1989. Gradually, Erick's focus changed to house music, and in 1995 he became a resident DJ in the legendary RoXy nightclub in Amsterdam. His popularity increased rapidly, and soon he received bookings for all kinds of clubs and parties (both mainstream as commercial) in The Netherlands and abroad, such as Sensation White, Innercity, The Mega Music Dance Experience, MTC, Mysteryland, Dance Valley, Wasteland, Chemistry and Hour Power.

Next to being a DJ, Erick E is the owner of a record label (One Star Records) and a successful producer. Together with Olav Basoski he founded the record label WORK, for which they produced songs under aliases such as Pancake and Sil. In 2003 he started to collaborate with Fedde Le Grande under the alias "Sticky People" and produced several songs for Sander Kleinenberg [1]
