Erich Rhoemer was a German terrorist in Syphon Filter.

In Syphon Filter Rhoemer is the main antagonist whom Gabe is trying to kill throughout the course of the game. He, along with Aramov and Girdeaux are responsible for the original attack on Washington D.C. in Syphon Filter. Using Syphon Filter Rhoemer planned to kill everyone in Washington D.C. However Logan foiled the plan by disarming all seven viral bombs planted throughout Washington.

After his failed attack on D.C. Rhoemer went to Phagan's Exposition Center in New York with Aramov to meet with Phagan. After the meeting with Phagan goes south and Logan arrives Aramov kidnaps Phagan and Rhoemer escapes. Aramov is subsequently captured by Logan, but Phagan escapes and is sent to Rhoemer's monestary in eastern Europe.

Rhoemer next appears at the Pharcom warehouses after Aramov joins Logan and leads Logan and Lipan to the Pharcom Warehouses where Rhoemer's and Phagan's men are engaged in a massive firefight. It is revealed that Rhoemer is trying to start a war between the U.S. and China by launching a missile loaded with Syphon Filter at the U.S. When Logan arrives to stop the missile from launching it is revealed that Markinson is also in league with Rhomer, and after a short conversation between Logan and Markinson, Markinson is shot and killed by Rhoemer. Logan then proceeds to detonate the missile midflight and take out Rhoemer using poisen gas grenades.
