Eric Raymond (character)

Eric Raymond is the lead villain in the 1980's cartoon television show Jem. He is the organizer of The Misfits, the rival band to the main character Jem's band The Holograms. Most episodes of the show involve a nefarious plan by Raymond and The Misfits to sabotage the protagonists and to seize control of Starlight Music, the protagonists' record company.
Eric Raymond is described in the show as the former business partner of Emmett Benton, Jerrica and Kimber's late father. Eric ran Starlight Music after Emmett's death until he had a falling out with Jerrica. Eric stakes his claim on the record company against Jerrica's claim, thus starting the rivalry between the Holograms and the Misfits.
Eric Raymond was named, by Jem writer Christy Marx, after her brother.
