Eric Pinkett [1] (born 1911, died 1979, was the founder of the Leicestershire Schools Symphony Orchestra. He formed the orchestra in 1946 and remained in the position (as well as being the county's principal music advisor) until his retirement in 1976. During his involvement with the local area's entertainment business, he was know as "Mr Music".
