Eric Midwinter

Professor Eric Charles Midwinter M.B.E. (born 11 February 1932) is a distinguished English academic, author and social historian.
He is a leading social historian who has written a wide selection of books on a variety of topics. He was honoured for his work into the research of aging and was a co-founder of the University of the Third Age. He has served as a Visiting Professor at the University of Exeter and succeeded Richard Streeton as President of the Association of Cricket Statisticians and Historians in 1997. He currently chairs the Cricket Society Book of the Year judging panel, edits the MCC Annual and is an ACS trustee. His clubs include: MCC, Lancashire CCC and the Savage Club.
He is a past winner of Cricket Society Book of the Year Award.
