Eric Kimmel

Eric A. Kimmel is an American Jewish children's book author. Among his many works include "The Jar of Fools," with illustrator Mordicai Gerstein, and "Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins," illistrated by Trina Shart Hyman.
"The Jar of Fools" countains stories relating to Chelm, a Polish town whose Jewish population has a reputation for foolhardiness.
Mr. Kimmel follows in the footsteps of Isaac Bashevis Singer, whose brilliant, often humorous stories brought him fame outside of the Jewish community.
Mr. Kimmel currently lives in Portland, Oregon.
