Eriadu Conference

The Eriadu Conference was an event in the fictional Star Wars Expanded Universe, crucial to the plot of the later Phantom Menace; this historic meeting of major manufacturers and trade guilds was meant to establish the guidelines by which the Trade Federation would be managed, shortly before the Battle of Naboo. During the conference, the Neimoidian delegation arranged for the assassination of all the Kuati delegates from Kuat Drive Yards, allowing the Neimoidians to take control of the Trade Federation.

Through the reign of the Galactic Empire, Kuat Drive Yards gained control of the main production rights, and the responsibility of heading the major trade affairs of the Empire. This was given to them due to their long-time leadership of the Trade Federation.
