Erbil International Airport (IATA: EBL, ICAO: ORER) is an airport 10 kilometers outside of the city of Arbil (Erbil), a city with more than 1 million inhabitants, in the northern Iraqi Kurdistan region.
The airport has facilities for both cargo and passengers and sees daily flights. Erbil International Airport has one terminal for departures and arrivals. It is also the hub for Kurdistan Airlines, a newly formed Kurdish airline which was established in Iraqi Kurdistan. It is also the homebase of the Kurdish operator Sawan Airline, which connects Erbil to Europe.
