Equidae is the family of horse-like animals, order Perissodactyla. It is sometimes known as the horse family. Apart from the horses, other extant equids include the donkey, the four zebras and the onager. All of these are in the genus Equus.

Some hybrid equidae include:
- Mule, a cross between a male donkey and a female horse
- Hinny, a cross between a female donkey and a male horse
- Zeedonk or Zonkey, a cross between a donkey and a zebra.
- Zony, a zebra/pony cross.
Any equid with partial zebra ancestry is called a zebroid.
