Category talk:Eponymous diseases

- Anyone know how to make the link from here say "Berger's disease" instead of "IgA nephritis"? Alex.tan 10:40, 28 Jun 2004 (UTC)
- Put the category code on the redirect page. It's supposed to work. JFW | T@lk 10:43, 28 Jun 2004 (UTC)
- Well, it doesn't work. The redirect stops working if the category code comes before the redirect code, and gets cleared by the wiki if it comes afterwards. Sad but true. JFW | T@lk 10:50, 28 Jun 2004 (UTC)

- The solution: put the category code after the redirect, but on the same line. See also http://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1476. GregorB July 5, 2005 19:30 (UTC)
- What's the final word here on eponyms and the apostrophe s. There's been a move away from Down's syndrome toward Down syndrome in medical terminolgy recently, and this has been codified in the European Eponymic Standard and adopted by the ICD-O-3 committee. Most books are now using the plain form (e.g., Alzheimer disease). Has this come up in discussions here? How does one proceed?
- As a paediatrician I have loads of eponyms that you haven't covered. Is this list only for completed stubs/articles or can I add in ones that need doing?
- Categories include only existing articles. For a comprehensive list which includes diseases not yet covered, see List of diseases and its subarticles. New ones should be added there. GregorB 20:40, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
