[edit] Plot
The episode begins with the group (minus Cassie) on a plane to Russia with the college for a history trip with teachers Angie and Tom. Maxxie wakes up and apologises for falling asleep on Anwar. He notices that Anwar is hiding an erection under a magazine, who quickly protests that it is nothing to do with Maxxie, blaming the "vibrations" and the thought of the "Russian peasant babes". Tom reminds the students that this is not a holiday, or a "piss up". He makes an impassioned speech about "total education" but fails to impress the class.
Chris asks Anwar where the drugs are hidden (he thought Anwar was going to wear a turban specially) but it is revealed that Tony has a "back-up plan" and has convinced Sid to hide drugs in his anal cavity. Upon disembarking of the plane the students have to walk through rigorous security and metal detectors. Sid is extremely nervous but it is Anwar who sets off an alarm. He is dragged into a back room by security to be anally searched until Tom makes multiple bribes to the officials to let him go. Maxxie is incensed at the stereotyping and Anwar bitterly notes the Russian officials' disappointment that he is not a terrorist. Tony remarks that Anwar is "a very dull Muslim indeed." The hired bus to Mokshokov has broken down so the group hitches a ride on the back of the truck. When they arrive at their boarding place they find it to be run down prison. Their translator welcomes them and tells them that she will lock them in. A wolf is heard howling in the background.
Tom gives instructions to the group as to their sleeping arrangements: same sex pairings only, much to the disappointment of Posh Kenneth. Tom informs Angie; however, that they are forced to share a room as the budget could not stretch to single lodgings. Sid informs Tony that he's pushed and pushed but cannot retrieve the drugs and asks why he came on the trip anyway, as he doesn't even do History. Tony replies that he thought it would be uplifting.
Maxxie and Anwar share a room. As Anwar struggles with the zip on his suitcase, Maxxie opens it with ease with his "magic fingers". He is astounded to see Anwar's outfits laid out in separate bags for each day of the week, including "bad mood - comfy jim jams" and a long string of condoms. Anwar expresses his admiration for Maxxie's sketch of the two of them. Maxxie tells Anwar that he can keep it and they are called for dinner by Chris. Anwar rips off the sketch, exposing a sketch of a naked male. Anwar worriedly checks in his own trousers but is distracted by a Russian girl chopping wood outside, wearing a tight shirt and hot pants. He debates on whether to "wank or tell group", but when he rushes back with the group the "girl with boobs" has gone. When no one believes him about "Pretend Spice's" existence, Maxxie tries to cheer him up by looking for Anwar's leopard skin thong, telling him that they are going out on the pull. Anwar half-jokingly insists that Maxxie doesn't bring any men back with him. Maxxie initially takes this as a light hearted joke, but Anwar is serious that he doesn't want to be "stuck around watching him do a guy." Maxxie asks whether he could bring a girl back, which leads to a heated discussion about Maxxie's homosexuality being an affront to Anwar's religion.
Maxxie swaps rooms with Sid, informing Sid and Tony that Anwar's decided to become "a bit more Muslim than he was already". He turns to Tony for advice about his problems with Anwar, but Tony makes advances on Maxxie "to cheer him up". Maxxie tells Tony that he is not a hobby and he is supposed to be his friend. That night Chris goes to Angie's room because he can't sleep. As they flirt and Chris asks for a goodnight kiss they are interrupted by Tom. Chris is forced to hide under Angie's bed until Tom has finished his squat thrusts and falls asleep, when he does Chris can give Angie the goodnight kiss he was after. Anwar sees the Russian girl again, in her house wearing provocative underwear but she disappears before Sid can see her.
In the morning, they are woken by a loud bell and instructions from their translator that the girls are to clean first and then the boys. Anwar and Maxxie meet on the stairs and Maxxie asks Anwar to take back what he said about "gays being wrong". Anwar looks away uncomfortably and the issue is not resolved. It is revealed that the translator is cleaning people by spraying them with a large hose. She see Anwar and directs the hose at him "for his dirty face". Anwar runs away shouting that "it doesn't wash off!" After a trip to the glue factory, watching horses boiled to be made into glue, Angie refuses Tom's suggestions that they "explore each other". Chris listens at the door to Tom's indecent proposal and is only stopped from intervening by a kiss from Angie. The two embrace passionately and stumble into an empty room.
Tony asks Maxxie to sketch him, who flatly refuses. Tony starts to strip claiming that he is "inspirational", but Maxxie angrily tells him to just stop it. Upset and confused by Tony's aggressive flirting he goes back to Anwar's room where he is talking to Sid about getting the drugs through use of laxatives. Angry at Anwar's pick-and-choose attitude to his Islam faith Maxxie shouts at him for his hypocrisy, ripping up one of the sketches he drew of him. He leaves and furiously bangs doors in the corridor, accidentally bursting into one of the rooms and seeing Angie and Chris having sex.
Maxxie finds consolation with the translator who also likes the music of Neil Diamond, who talks about his problems with him over vodka shots. Meanwhile Jal asks Michelle why she is with Tony. Jal is uncomfortable about keeping knowledge of Tony's infidelity from her best friend but Michelle's explanation of why she loves Tony stops her from saying anything. Instead they leave to go to a bar for drinks. They find a group of Russian Officers who they flirt with.
Angie explains to Chris that their sexual encounter was a mistake and would not happen again, but they end up immediately having sex again. Anwar and Sid see the Russian girl across the road being beaten by her father. They break in and rescue her with a rope ladder, while her father is out. However, the father quickly returns and Sid is left behind hiding under the covers, pretending to be the Russian girl.
Anwar takes the Russian girl to his room and we discover that her name is Anka. Anwar tells her the things that he would love to do to her, starting with romantic thoughts about kissing her lips and neck, and then becoming more vulgar. It is discovered, however, that Anka speaks English. It is alluded to that she learned from the TV sitcom Friends.
Maxxie and the translator are still drinking and talking. She convinces Maxxie that it is not his problem, and Maxxie thanks her for her help. She asks for Maxxie to draw her in return, throwing up her skirt and lying in a seductive pose.
Anka initiates foreplay by gently putting Anwar's hand under her underwear, which leads to sex but are interrupted by Tony. Tony runs into the main room to tell everyone and Anwar and Anka follow him. Sid also runs in, explaining that he thinks he lost Anka's father, when he is promptly knocked out by the father, who is wielding a shotgun. Anka tries to console him and reveals that he is actually her husband. He points the shotgun at Anwar threateningly and Maxxie intervenes, snatching it and turning it on Anka's husband. Anka's husband pulls out a smaller gun on Maxxie. As the situation reaches a climax the officers arrive with Michelle and Jal (who are drunk) just in time, to arrest the man. Tom, who was cowering behind Chris, has to pay a fee for the armed response and the class are told to leave Russia by tomorrow.
Later Maxxie attempts to reconcile with Anwar, who admits that he is a hypocrite and is going to follow his religion devoutly. Maxxie protests that it's "just stuff" and Anwar doesn't have to believe in it but Anwar explains that he is a Muslim boy and he doesn't get to choose. This leaves their friendship broken. Drunk and emotional, Maxxie goes back to his room, where Tony attempts to give Maxxie oral sex. He is quickly stopped by Maxxie who informs him: 'Tony, we've finally found something you're not good at'. Maxxie walks out leaving Tony shocked. Unbeknownst to either of them, Michelle, who was thought to be passed out on the bed, saw the whole thing.
On the plane home, Sid has to hold drugs inside his anal cavity as they are approaching Heathrow. While Angie regrets her encounter with Chris, Michelle waits for Tony to come clean about his relations with Maxxie. It is also revealed that Anka, her husband, the armed forces and the translator all staged a majority of the events to con the "stupid English" out of money. However, Anka shows feelings for Anwar, by kissing the sketch of him and Maxxie.

[edit] Trivia
- The translator introduces herself as Irene Kovskaya but later states that her name is Valentina.
- When Anka's father bursts into her room he asks (in Russian) "What's going on?", to which Anka replies, "I don't know, these kids just came in here", suggesting her father was in on the con and that they'd been planning it from the start.
- The book Tony is reading before he walks in on Anwar and Anka is Jeanette Winterson's 'Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit'. The book concerns the trials of a lesbian girl growing up in an extremely religious community, a suitable metaphor for the homoerotic tension between Tony and Maxxie
- Judging by the sticker on the truck LKS (Lietuvos kino studija) and famous Lithuanian actor Gediminas Storpirstis, who explains the poster in the glue factory, this episode was shot in Lithuania. Lithuania movie and lightning rent company Cinevera also mentions that it took part in shooting "Skins" http://www.cinevera.lt/?page=projects&LNG=en&id=40
