Epic Skate Park
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Epic skatepark is the largest indoor skatepark in the Europe. It is located in Birmingham, England where there is a relatively high demand for such a facility.
The skatepark officially opened in October 2001 and since then has undergone much building and development work. For instance, after opening, a giant halfpipe was constructed, making it the largest permanent halfpipe in Britain.
However, in 2004 the skatepark was forced to rent out about one quarter of the skatepark to a private company 'Creation Rock Climbing'. Their arrival helped keep the skatepark afloat in the sea of financial despair. There is also a skateshop, a cafe, skate school and a licenced bar at the facility.
