How is this not the same thing as Environmental science? Topically, it is going to be identical. --Hard Raspy Sci 20:51, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

Environmental Studies addresses a broad range of social issues that environmental science does not. Ever met a sociologist or linguist or communication scholar employed in an environmental science department? Those sorts of roles are standard features of good Environmental Studies programs.
