Template talk:Entrez Pubmed

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This template is for the Molecular and Cellular Biology WikiProject

Example:

{{Entrez Pubmed|10336462}}

Entrez PubMed 10336462

We briefly had Template:PMID, but I filed a feature request to automatically render PMID codes. The template was therefore deleted, as all articles with Pubmed-indexed references simply got a PMID linker (like this: PMID 1234567890 - look, no links!). The only thing this template adds is a link to the Entrez main page - is that truly necessary? JFW | T@lk 21:29, 31 August 2005 (UTC)
The Entrez Pubmed template is better because it does not subject the reader to an unexplained abbreviation and it provides a link to a wikipedia page that talks about the database. --JWSchmidt 22:45, 31 August 2005 (UTC)
