[edit] In response to the prod tag removal

The prod tag was placed on this entry as it is a failure of the guideline WP:CORP. At that page there are three ways in which a corporation can display nobility.

1. The company or corporation has been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works,
2. corporation is listed on ranking indices of important companies produced by well-known and independent publications, and
3. The company's or corporation's share price is used to calculate stock market indices.

None of these three criteria is met in this article. Please see the corp guideline and also WP:RS for information about what consitutes a reliable source in regards to the first point.--Gay Cdn (talk) (email) (Contr.) 19:58, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

Would it be better if I created a seperate article for each player? If this is not the case, and you do not believe that they merit an article, then I would also have to remove the shox technology article. 0L1 20:44, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

Again, refer back to WP:CORP, it has a section on products. The section states:

1. The product or service has been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent of the company itself.
2. The product or service is so well-known that its trademark has suffered from genericization.

So baseed on these two criteria, I do not believe that each player should have an article either. Have a look at WP:RS which discusses what is a reliable source for Wikipedia.

Regarding the shox technology article, I would say it fails any level of notability, the article claims not to know exactly what it is. I also notice someone placed a sources tag on that article.--Gay Cdn (talk) (email) (Contr.) 21:25, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

I agree that the Shox technology article should be delted, but I really think that the Spirit 20 deserves an aticle, as it was highly anticipated on the internet before its release due to it being the lowest priced 20GB player. Even though it fails the criteria, I would say that it certainly notable enough to deserve an article. 0L1 10:16, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
